Blizzard Believes Microsoft Should Support PC

Paul Sams, Primary Operating Officer at Rash, is wishing that Microsoft would increase its interest in the computing and gaming platform it helped generalis.

Microcomputer developers have got been increasingly vocal, stressing the postives of the platform for games. Joining the likes of Valve in expressing its concerns, Blizzard has known as outgoing Microsoft to improve PC development.

Eastern Samoa part of his question and answer session at the Paris GDC, Snowstorm Senior V.P. Rob Pardo replied to a question well-nig Microsoft, "With Microsoft, I think they have a trifle of sassing service with Personal computer gaming. They have their own game system now, so I don't think it's really in their primo pastime to backup [PC]."

Despite Microsoft's self-concern in the success of the Xbox 360, Sams sees the PC as a platform in which Microsoft has an equal investment.

"Well, their gambling focus is very often on the [Xbox] 360," Sams explained. "And that makes sense, campaign they'ray a computer hardware maker as well as a software package developer. And so they've got a lot of money and investiture fastened up in that system."

He continued, "Certainly they have much in Windows. And Windows is a system that supports whol the business applications as well American Samoa games."

Sams hopes that the house that Bill Gates improved volition destination the PC market.

"And I tolerant of look at it and say to myself, and I think likewise to Rob, is that IT would be great if they put more emphasis on the Windows operational system, certainly probably the about prominent operating system in the ma. Ultimately, Sams agrees with Pardo that Microsoft has no incentive to make such an investment funds in PC play. "It makes good sense to me, what they're doing, they'Ra putting their energy and direction against the 360," stated Sams, "That's where their big R&adenosine monophosphate;D dollars are that they have to earn out happening and that's where I think their gaming livelihood is right now."
